Our retreat is more than just doing Pilates, eating good food and being in a picturesque location. Going on vacation AND getting an efficient workout in the best community. PRIVATE FAMILY OWNED OLIVE GROVE HIKE & TASTING

Hike a trail that journeys through family groves to the acreage where the family's small batch brand of olive oil: Pipa evoo is produced. Along the way there will be discussion of all things local, historical, and agricultural.

Once arriving, see first hand how Mariano and his family raise the trees and olive fruit with the most natural and organic means possible, including their flock of sheep and chickens. Experience a tasting in the grove of this year's harvest - their limited 2023 reserve. Learn about the quality, health benefits, and tasting of olive oil under the tree canopies that produce this miracle fruit. Descend back to the little village of Mirca with panoramic sea views of the Adriatic Sea.

Return home to our villa and enjoy a cooking class led by Ela using the olive oil.

GROUP TRANSFER VIA PRIVATE SPEEDBOAT FROM SPLIT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SPU) TO RETREAT ON ARRIVAL DAY

We will have two pick-up locations on arrival day. The first pick-up will be at Split International Airport. The group will meet at 2:30 PM in the arrivals area (just outside of baggage claim). The second pick-up will meet around 3:30 PM just outside of Diocletian's Palace in Split at a cafe on the water (location here).

CANCELLATION POLICY

Deposits secure your spot on the trip and are not refundable or transferable. Refunds for the balance payments vary depending on timing. For cancellation requests submitted with more than 120 days of retreat date: 100% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. For cancellation requests submitted within 120 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Cancellation requests within 90 days of the retreat: sorry but no refunds given, no exceptions. Nobody books a retreat with the intention of cancelling it, but unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance that would cover a cancelled retreat (note: as times become more turbulent, it's important to be prepared). Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including an act of God or Mother Nature, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits will be granted for failure to attend, complete or for arriving late or leaving early.

ABOUT MONIQUE

Monique is passionate about improving quality of life for others through movement as a certified Pilates teacher. You’ll find her sessions have a natural flow and she likes to add props and functionality to give you a more dynamic workout. Her cues will help you create awareness in your body during sessions by building a strong mind-body connection.

Monique holds full graduate certification from the 2 year comprehensive BASI teacher program. After teaching in studios for years, she decided to launch her "home studio" to offer private and semi private sessions tailored for individuals. Monique holds 15+ years of fitness teaching experience and wants to bring a healthy lifestyle to the community. She focuses on strength training with mobility work for the entire body. Monique wants us to use the environment surrounding us on this experience to enhance our movement practice.

FAQ's

How far is the house from the airport? What is the best way to get there?

The property is only a ~35 minute boat ride away from the Split Airport. If you fly into Split, we recommend selecting an airport transfer via private boat as an add-on, as this is really the RIGHT way to arrive. You will have 360 degree views of the islands and far less transitions than dealing with a ferry and/or taxis.

If you fly into Brac Airport, the drive to our property is approximately 40 minutes. Unfortunately Uber and apps like this don´t work in the island and the public transport is not very reliable, which is why we would recommend to book a private driver as one of your add-on options.

Which airport should I fly to?

Split International Airport (SPU) or Brac (BWK).

How far is the house from the beach?

The property is first position to the water and approximately 50m to the water.

How is the weather in Croatia?

It's mostly warm and nice from May to October, however, and especially in the beginning and the end of the summer, it can be a bit unpredictable, with rains and chilly nights, bring some cozy layers of clothing.

Do I need to have experience to join this retreat?

It´s good to be familiarized with pilates before coming however it´s absolutely not necessary to have previous experience to join a retreat. If you are starting your pilates journey, you will be amazed by how much you can learn in such a short amount of time.

Am I required to attend all of the pilates classes?

Absolutely not! This is YOUR time to do what feels right and honest for YOU. We encourage you to engage and attend as much as you desire.

Can you accommodate medical food allergies?

We can accommodate celiac.

Can I arrive earlier than the check in time?

Our team is working very hard during the hours prior to your arrival to prepare everything for your stay, so check-in time is from 4pm and not before.

Do people ever attend alone?

100%, yes! It is very common for people to attend the retreats independently. The retreat is a great opportunity to connect deeper with yourself and make new connections with incredible humans! If you're attending solo, we recommend booking a private room as the beds in our double rooms are shared.
